The downward trend is especially noticeable in Southwest and Southeast Calgary, where all types of unfurnished units saw prices drop.
- Slow and steady: Calgary rents continue their downward trend
- April continues a long-running slide for Calgary rental prices, with average one-bedroom unfurnished rents dropping $8 this month. Despite a brief February bump, prices have fallen steadily since last August, now sitting $138/month lower than this time last year.
- Southwest Edmonton bucks the trend with rent increase
- In April, furnished one-bedroom rents in Edmonton went up slightly by 0.72%, reaching an average of $1,489/month. The increase was mainly driven by Southwest Edmonton (+1.48%), as other areas saw flat or falling prices.
